Are you a tech startup operating in Uganda serving MSMEs?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overview
The 10X Program: Digital Startup Accelerator Challenge, under the 10X program implemented by Outbox in partnership with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and with support from the Mastercard Foundation, is looking for ambitious tech entrepreneurs building digital solutions for MSMEs in Uganda.
We’re inviting startups innovating in key sectors — Agriculture, Trade & Services, Health, Light Manufacturing, Fashion & Design, and the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) industry — to apply for a chance to receive technical assistance and roll-out or scale their solutions.
Background
Digitalization provides solutions to many challenges faced by MSMEs. Digital platforms have the potential to address access to market barriers, improve operational efficiency and productivity and enable MSMEs to build verifiable digital financial histories to increase their access to formal credit for business growth and expansion.
There is a need to support existing and startup digital solution providers in enhancing and scaling their solutions to reach and work for MSMEs. Current market assessments show that while a number of digital platforms exist in Uganda, many require additional support to effectively serve the full spectrum of MSMEs across various sectors and customer segments.
To bridge this gap, the 10X Digital Startup Accelerator Challenge will support digital solution providers and device financing startups that can unlock growth, resilience, and inclusivity for MSMEs across Uganda.
